Chastain-Skillman's Surveying Department is diversified
in all aspects of land surveying. Our staff has extensive
experience in numerous projects, which include horizontal
and vertical control for aerial photogrammetry, boundary
and topographical surveys, final record surveys, plat recording,
construction and mining stakeout. We perform this work with
the most current survey equipment including Global Positioning
System (GPS) with RTK technology. Chastain-Skillman's
experienced field crews are equipped and trained in the use
of electronic total stations. which utilizes state-of-the-art
data collection. This capability combined with proficient
office support staff and Automated Computer Aided Drafting
provides the most efficient and cost saving transfer of data
between the field personnel, office staff and the client.
Chastain-Skillman's Survey Department list of clients covers
both the public and private sectors. This list of clients
includes city, county, and state government, phosphate industry,
private utility, attorneys, and title and land development
companies. Interesting recent projects include the renovated
Cypress Gardens Adventure Park, a major natural
gas pipe-line traversing hundreds of miles through central Florida and currently the new USF/Poly-Tech Campus in Polk County.
