Art Wade - Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent
Art Wade has received his official Agent Authorization (AA) from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Division of Habitat and Species Conservation, to act as an Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent. This allows Art to conduct gopher tortoise surveys and captures, and to mark, transport and release gppher tortoises to recipient sites.

CSI welcomes Ariel Cintron, Industrial Hygienist
CSI welcomes Ariel A. Cintron, Industrial Hygienist, to our Tampa office team. Ariel will serve CSI clients as an Industrial Hygiene Technician. Her past experience includes responsibity for field operations and acting as an EPA/AHERA Asbestos Inspector, Management Planner, Abatement Monitor and Supervisor. She is also experience in lead-based paint inspection and performing indoor air quality inspection and sampling. Welcome to the CSI team Ariel.

Telogia Power LLC and CSI Team Again
Chastain-Skillman has contracted with Telogia Power LLC to provide professional services related to the design and construction of a constructed wetland system to treat industrial wastewater. Additionally CSI will provide groundwater sampling, analysis and report preparation related to Telogia's biomass facility.

Auburndale to Extend Main Street
CSI will provide engineering, permitting, bidding and construction phase services for the City of Auburndale for the relocation of the existing utilities beneath this proposed roadway extension. The extension will extend from Derby Avenue south across the CSX Railroad to Recker Highway.

Highland City Town Center - Phase II

Office of Highlands County Sheriff Improvements
The CSI Architectural Department leads the way for a variety of improvements to the office building for the Highlands County Sheriff. The project will also include an Indoor Environmental Quality analysis of the HVAC system.

CSI Awarded Tarpons Springs Sewer Expansion
CSI will provide project management, data collection and analysis, design, preparation of construction plans and specifications, bid phase and construction phase services. Over two phases, the project will add a total 9,500 LF of sewer, a pump (or lift) station, and 250 LF of force main, providing sewer service to 150 additional homes and the City-owned Highland Nature Park.

CSI will provide construction phase services and limited RPR services for Phase 3 of the City's sewer system expansion. It includes approximately 18,700 linear feet of gravity sewer, three lift stations, and associated force mains and appurtenances.

CSI has recently contracted to provide a variety of services to Telogia Power, a Tallahassee area power provider. Services range from design and permitting through construction phase services of a constructed wetland treatment system. CSI will also provide groundwater sampling, analysis, and report preparation for Telogia's biomass facility.

Dr. Chastain Lectures at UF
Dr. Jim Chastain, PE recently presented two lectures on Quantitative Health Risk Assessment to several classes in the University of Florida’s Environmental Engineering Department. The lectures to graduate and honors undergraduate classes were part of the courses’ effort to show the interrelation of environmental pollution and the relative impact on human health.

New Well and Water Treatment Plant Improvements for Wauchula
CSI recently completed design of new infrastructure to improve water supply, treatment, and storage for the City. The project includes a new potable supply well, raw water transmission main, aerators, clearwell, and an overhaul of the water plant’s electrical system. CSI worked closely with City staff to secure American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding for the $4 million project. Construction is anticipated to begin in December 2009.
