Derick Bryant Earns P.E. License
CSI's Derick Bryant recently earned his Professional Engineer's license. Derick is a Graduate of the University of South Florida, College of Environmental and Civil Engineering (2002). Currently Derick specializes in development of commercial and residential site plans for permitting and construction.

Art Wade Earns Professional Wetland Scientist Certification
On December 22, 2007, Art Wade, of Chastain-Skillman, Inc. (CSI), received certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS). This certification, issued by the Society of Wetland Scientists, recognizes the candidate’s academic achievements, practical field experience, and ethical standards, and is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Board (CESB). Mr. Wade is based in CSI’s Lakeland, Florida headquarters, and has been working as a wetland scientist in the private and public sectors for 15 years. CSI is a 140-person multidisciplinary engineering and scientific firm engaged in Water Resources Engineering, Water and Wastewater Treatment and Infrastructure Design, Civil Land Development Design and Permitting, Environmental Risk Management, Land Survey, and Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene. CSI has offices in Lakeland, Orlando, Tampa, Sebring, and Tallahassee, Florida.

Deanna Ives Joins the CSI Team
Ms. Deanna Ives has joined our Environmental and Occupational Health staff. A Pasco County native, Deanna is a St. Leo's College graduate. She has recently received her EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector and Management Planner certifications. Welcome Deanna!

Lake Placid Center Renovations Awarded to CSI
South Florida Community College has awarded the renovation/design for their Lake Placid Center Campus to CSI. The project inlcudes elevator installation, classroom and science lab renovations, HVAC improvements and other on-site parking/grounds improvemenets. Total renovations are estimated at $2 million. CSI's Suzanne Hunnicutt, Architect, will lead the design efforts from our Sebring office.

Paul Bizier Authors WEF Manual Update
Paul Bizier, P.E., Director of Environmental Engineering, has been selected by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) to serve as an author in an upcoming major update of the WEF/ASCE manual "Design of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants". This manual serves as an important design guideline for environmental engineers nationwide. Paul has served Chastain-Skillman clients for over 23 years.

Dr. Anipsitakis Donates Time to Science Fair
Dr. George Anipsitakis, P.E., of our Lakeland, Florida office, served as a volunteer judge in the 2008 Polk Region Science and Engineering Fair. He helped evaluate over 300 student's science research projects entered in this year's fair. Dr. Anipsitakis will be judging at the 53rd State Science and Engineering Fair, also to be held in Lakeland, on April 17, 2008. Dr. Anipsitakis specializes in process design for all aspects of water and wastewater treatment.
