Survey Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)

Chastain-Skillman, Inc. (CSI) has a unique approach to QA/QC.  Our experience has shown that while both QA (steps taken to enhance quality during the process of providing the service) and QC (steps taken to catch and correct errors prior to submitting a deliverable) are important, QA is proactive and has a more significant positive impact on project results and client satisfaction.  QA enhances communication and coordination, facilitates a higher degree or responsiveness to client needs, emphasizes good project management to reinforce budget, schedule and technical performance, and reduces the occurrence of design errors.  For these reasons, in working with CSI, you will see strong attention to QA as our projects are performed, and you will likely have a more positive experience in working with us as compared to firms that emphasize only QC.

Although the CSI Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the quality of services and work products we provide, we have designated a senior level technical representative as our QA/QC Officer to provide oversight.  this individual reports directly to the Principal-in-Charge such that QA/QC is not compromised in the quest to meet other project objectives.  This important system of checks and balances helps to mange risk for both the Client and CSI, and supports the consistent and reliable delivery of quality service and work products.
